No Change  Mooring Days

Explanation of Indicator:
The County of Marquette manages the Perkins Park Campground and the Big Bay Harbor of Refuge located in Big Bay, Michigan.  Use of the recreational facilities is directly impacted by weather conditions. The use of the Harbor is also affected by the water depth of the harbor.  Shallow water created from the infill of sand and lack of opportunity for dredging reduces the type of boats that can use our Harbor.  The years 2007 and 2008 are good examples of how the depth of water can impact use.  It is unknown why the number of transient users declined in 2018.  Daily launch passes continue to increase.
