New rules for Dog Licensing effective January 1, 2009!
In 2009, Marquette County stopped issuing calendar year licenses; license expirations are now based on when a dog receives its rabies vaccination. All dog owners should obtain their dog license in the month in which their dog receives its rabies shot! If you do not purchase a license by the last day of the month in which your dog receives its rabies shot, late fees will apply. If you have any question about when your dog needs to obtain a new license, please call the Treasurer's office at 906-225-8425.

Kennel Licenses
The County Treasurer sells kennel licenses. All new kennels must be inspected prior to receiving a kennel license. Please contact the Marquette County Sheriff's Department at (906)225-8435 to schedule a kennel inspection. It is also suggested that you check with your local zoning administrator to ensure compliance with any applicable zoning requirements.
