Under the direction of our Medical Director, a Registered Nurse works to investigate cases of communicable disease such as salmonella, measles, sexually transmitted diseases and tuberculosis.  Exposed persons are identified and instructed on prevention of the disease.  Potential sources of infection are also investigated.

Health advice can be provided to families on topics such as head lice, immunizations, common colds, etc.  Community agencies can also receive health information and written materials.

Bloodborn pathogen training, consisting of education on HIV, Viral Hepatitis and universal precautions, is available on CD for community agencies and area employers.
