Tobacco use is the leading contributing cause of death in Marquette County and the United States, taking an average of eight years of life from every smoker. Research also points out that most smokers want to stop smoking and many barriers prevent people from attempting to stop. The Time to Quit program is designed to make participation and education on cessation strategies more accessible to people in Marquette County.
