Marquette County's Superior Environmental Health (SEH) Code requires a permit application to be submitted to the health department 14 days prior to installation. Geothermal boreholes must be constructed by a Michigan licensed water well driller. The Superior Environmental Health Code authorizes the local health department to develop and adopt a technical guidance manual.
Click here to download a 2010 Service Request Application. On the application choose the Industrial/Irrigation Well Service. Residential systems will require one permit per system. Commercial systems will require one permit for every 25 boreholes.
