Radon is an odorless, tasteless, colorless gas created by the natural disintegration of radium and uranium in the soil. The gas invades areas by seeping through cracks in cement floors, sump openings, gaps between cement blocks and other openings in a building's foundation.
Radon test kits are available for purchase in our office. The cost of a radon test kit is $12.00. We currently sell two different types of test:
1. Charcoal - You place in your home for 3 to 7 days and it reports what your radon level is.
2. Alpha-Track - You place in your home for 7 to 12 months and it reports the average level of Radon present in your home, apartment or office throughout the period the detector was in place.
