Each year the WIC (Women's Infants & Children) Supplemental Nutrition program, and the USDA offer the Project Fresh program for women and children over 1 year old who are current WIC clients.
About the Program:
A booklet worth $20 is given for use throughout summer and early fall. Two booklets may be given to WIC families with 2 or more currently enrolled women or children.
The $20 booklets are for buying Michigan grown produce at participating farm markets (not at grocery stores).
We prefer appointments (please call 475-7846), but walk-ins are also welcome during specific Project Fresh times.
Group sessions are about 30 minutes long.
