Perkins Park located in Big Bay, Michigan, is managed by the County of Marquette Resource Management/ Development Department.

**PLEASE EXCUSE OUR DUST!**

Construction is currently underway for the Perkins Park Improvements  - Phase IV. Utility upgrades and campsite redesigns in the North Loop are near completion. Please see the sketch and more information of new sites. Call the park office for reservations. 906-345-9353

Phase IV Construction

  • North Loop Campsite upgrade. See map of new site layout.
  • Accessibility walkways to restrooms, playground and Lake Independence.
  • New office building at front entrance.

New park rules are now in effect for ATV's. 

ATV's will not be permited to ride on park property from Friday to Monday of the following weekends: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Fire on the Bay (fireworks) or Labor Day.

Access provided by Iron Bay Computer. Hourly, daily, and weekly rates available.

Reservations:

For camp reservations and questions related to Perkins Park or the Big Bay Harbor, please contact:  Kim Bourgeois at 906-345-9353 or e-mail.

  • Reservations are accepted with payment of the first night's camping fee plus a $2 reservation fee.
  • Reservation deposits are non-refundable, however, the date of a reservation can be changed to another date within this year's camping season.
  • Reservation dates can be changed by calling the park office 24 hours prior to the reservation date.
  • Reservations are accepted for the season beginning January 1st.

 

Amenities Update:

  • 6 new pull thru campsites with 50 amp electric, water and sewer hook-up
  • electric added to 5 additional sites
  • picnic area relocated
  • new lakefront campsites added
  • walking trail and observation deck added in south end of park property
  • shrubs and trees added throughout the park and shoreline stabilization completed
