The Register of Deeds office maintains an index and copy of all recorded documents pertaining to property located within the county.  The Register of Deeds also serves as Chairman of the County Plat Board which reviews and approves all new subdivisions within the county.

REGISTER OF DEEDS UPGRADES SYSTEM - 9/17/03

The Register of Deeds has replaced their Data General computer system with a new system. The software is used for recording instruments. Part of the recording process includes indexing of legal documents.
