Sawyer International Airport’s purpose is to provide high-quality aviation services and facilities to the flying public in a safe, secure and efficient manner; while continuing to play a role in enhancing economic development in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
Sawyer Airport currently provides daily service to Detroit Metro and Chicago O’Hare . . . accounting for nearly 1,874 aircraft flights and 2,176,485 pounds of cargo and mail last year.

From either M-35 or County Road 480, follow M-553 to the flashing signal for the north access road known as Kelly Johnson Memorial Drive. Follow commercial passenger terminal signs by turning on 11th Avenue/Airport Avenue.
