COVID-19 VACCINATION STATUS - MARQUETTE COUNTY
Governor Whitmer has announced the expansion of vaccination efforts in Michigan to include some members of Phase 1 B including police officers, first responders, frontline state and federal workers and jail and prison staff; and preK-12 teachers and childcare providers. This vaccination expansion will also include those 65 years an older to begin on 1-11-2021.
The Marquette County Health Department (MCHD) is currently continuing to vaccinate healthcare and EMS workers in Phase 1 A and is in the planning phase of establishing clinics to meet the demand of the expansion stated above. It is estimated that vaccination appointments for some members of phase 1 B and individuals 65 and over may begin the week of January 18, 2021 dependent upon available vaccine supply.
More information regarding making an appointment to receive your COVID-19 vaccine will be available once clinics are established.
