Weight Restriction Information
Seasonal weight restrictions will be lifted on all roads under the jurisdiction of the Marquette County Road Commission beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, May 17, 2021.
PARTIAL LIFTING OF SEASONAL WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS
Beginning 7:00 a.m. on Monday, May 10, 2021, weight restrictions will be lifted on all roads south of U.S. 41 & M-28 and east of M95, including all of Chocolay, Marquette, Humboldt, and Powell Townships. Weight restrictions will continue to apply and will be enforced on all other county roads and streets until further notice.
Historically, the Marquette County Road Commission has placed weight restrictions on all roads in mid-March and with removal in mid-May. Loads will be reduced to 65% of a normal legal load when weight restrictions are in place.
